At Exemplar Wealth Advisors, we believe that true wealth isn’t just about what you have — it’s about the impact you make with it. For us, giving isn’t an afterthought. It’s a core value and a guiding principle.
Our founder, David Rosell, and partner, Emma James, share a deep belief that gratitude and generosity are what truly connect us — to our community, to each other, and to something bigger than ourselves. That’s why we created the James A. Lee Community Gift Fund, a Donor Advised Fund dedicated to giving back in a meaningful way.
Each year, we proudly donate 10% of our profits to causes that matter most to our clients. Because when your wealth is used to lift others up, it becomes more than just money — it becomes a force for good.
James A. Lee Community Gift Fund
We created this fund in collaboration with the Oregon Community Foundation with the intention to give meaningfully, intentionally, and in partnership with our clients. The name of our fund is to honor a beloved friend and client who embodies generosity, compassion, and community spirit.
Our Purpose: To offer financial support to charitable non-profit organizations in the Central Oregon Community with the intention of making an immediate and lasting positive impact by helping those in need.

Our Impact Doesn’t Stop at the Oregon Border
In 2019, our founder, David Rosell, traveled to Sri Lanka with his daughter and witnessed something unforgettable — the bright spirit of children eager to learn, yet held back by a lack of even the most basic educational tools. That experience left a mark.
In 2024, David returned for the grand opening of the Valmark Technology Center — a project born from that moment of inspiration. Made possible through the James A. Lee Community Gift Fund, the Valmark Global Gift Fund, and the heartfelt generosity of our clients, this new center provides local students with something they’ve never had before: access to computers, flat-screen monitors, air conditioning, and real desks. Tools that open doors to a brighter future.
And this is just the beginning. Our goal is to continue building more Valmark Technology Centers across Sri Lanka, empowering students, one community at a time.
